Dear District 17 Citizen:

     The initial years of our Metro Government have been an astounding success.  I have worked with state officials to start road projects which had languished for years, greatly improving our infrastructure.  I have made substantial improvements to District 17's only metro park and have expanded recreation opportunities for young people in our community.  I have worked to make government more accessible and accountable through regular communication with district residents. 

    These successes resulted from cooperation with local and state government officials and the hard work and input of 16 suburban city mayors and many dedicated residents.  Truly, we have all worked together to do some great things for the people who live in our district.
